Commodore & Committee

2021

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Carlingford Lough Yacht Club in Killowen (CLYC), where for over 60 years we have provided a place for people from all walks of life who are interested in any form of on-water activity to come together in a safe and friendly environment to take part in Dinghy Sailing, Crusier Sailing and other water based sports. We are proud of our family focused Dinghy Sailing fleet, our competitive Cruiser Racing fleet, as well as the recreational and social activities that form part of our family oriented environment.

Like any community sports club, Membership is the life blood of the CLYC and we offer exceptional value for money to explore our “On-water” experiences. We have a thriving sailing school also, and being an RYA Training Centre and an RYA Champion Club, we have the ability to provide a wide variety of RYA courses. We emphasise fun and the promotion of sailing and water sports, and of course, safety at all times.

Of course the greatest part of the CLYC is the benefit of mixing with like-minded people who share a passion for the water, the great outdoors, exercise and building friendships for life.

Whether you are a seasoned seaman, a novice or just curious, please contact me if you would like any more information, and please call down to the clubhouse to meet us and find out more about getting involved any time.
